Applications are being accepted to fill a full-time opening with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. DUTIES:
Preventive patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, enforce local and state laws, court duties, civil process and any other duty assigned by the Sheriff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certification; minimum 60 college credits; vision correctable to 20/20; no felony convictions; no domestic-related convictions, free from any condition which might limit ability to perform essential functions of a Deputy Sheriff; must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, ability to drive safely and to use all police-related equipment; strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; experience with and knowledge of computers. Must complete a one year probationary period.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
$22.78/hour starting pay, $29.10/hour after 72 months (per 2018-2021 contract). Lateral transfers are accepted (up to five years credit; $22.78 – $27.93 per hour) if currently employed as a full-time law officer and have a minimum of three years continuous service in this capacity. Eligible for Lincoln County benefit package including; health, dental, vision, life, LTD, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and Wisconsin Retirement System.
