Deputy Register of Deeds – Part-Time
Chippewa County Register of Deeds is accepting applications for a Deputy Register of Deeds position. The job duties of the Deputy Register of Deeds include but are not limited to:
• Provide support and carry out the statutory functions of the Register of Deeds Department
• Plan and coordinate the department’s function of providing the proper processing, recording, and maintenance of real estate land records, vital records and military discharges in Chippewa County as required by Wisconsin State Statutes
• Provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. This position is deputized to perform the duties of the Register of Deeds.
• Anticipated hours are 28.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree in clerical/accounting science field of study with three (3) years of recent professional office experience required.
• Knowledge of land descriptions preferred.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin State statute chapters 59, 69, 236, 703 & 706 preferred
• Must be bondable.
• A valid driver’s license required.

Starting Wage: $24.54 – $26.67 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $32.00 per hour.
