Starting Wage Range: $19.15/hr. – $20.70/hr.

Under the general direction of Clerk of Courts, responsible for initiating/following through to closing any post judgment work on assigned cases.


Opens, receipts for, and prepares cases filed.
Files and records correspondence and legal documents.
Responsible for ensuring that all files scheduled for court activity have the necessary documents available.
Takes minutes in court.
Administers oaths.
Dockets all correspondence related to cases.
Enters into CCAP legal documents such as court decisions, affidavits, orders for appearances, judgments, etc.
Performs clerking duties in all courts for other clerks, when necessary.
Monitors the court reporting system in hearings.
Sends out hearing notices.
Prepares warrants and ensures follow-up.
Prepares Bonds and assessment forms.
Schedules out-of-county cases and coordinates with out-of-county judge.
Schedules interpreters for court.
Maintains records and reports, i.e. child support reimbursement.
May arrange for/schedule pre-trial, defaults and court trials, conferences, temporary hearings, etc. for Judges and Family Court.
May prepare orders for referral to Family Court Counseling for mediation re: legal custody, physical placement or visitation.
Collects data from defendants/parties.
Develops court forms/orders.
Lends assistance to public with filing of proper forms for issuance of passports, when necessary.
Regular attendance and punctuality required.
Performs related duties as may be required or assigned.
