Deputy Clerk of Court
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Clerk of Court, this position performs a variety of duties which require skilled clerical, record keeping, computer knowledge and public contact work. The position is responsible for case management of all cases filed with the Clerk of Courts Office.
The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Legal, Business, Public Administration or related field preferred. Two years of work experience in a related legal field, or six months in a Clerk of Courts Department. Experience within the past five years is preferred.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
The 2021 wage range for this full-time (80 hours bi-weekly), non-exempt position is $16.98 per hour to $23.16 per hour (step 20). The expected starting hourly wage is $16.98 per hour to $19.30 per hour (step 4) depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
