Job Description:

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Crusher Plant Operator – Heavy Equipment position within the Highway Department. The job duties include but are not limited to use a variety of heavy equipment for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the public. The heavy equipment may include the following: skid steer, loader, tractor loader, tractor backhoe, roller, excavator, bulldozer, motor grader and other assigned heavy construction equipment. Winter maintenance activities will be required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Class A CDL without restrictions E and L are required.
Must be able to operate a variety of equipment relating to construction and maintenance of roads and bridges.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation on a routine basis with experience on an aggregate crushing operation preferred.
Road maintenance experience preferred.
N Tanker endorsement required within six (6) months of hire date.
MSHA certification for work in mines is preferred. Employer provided certification is to be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.

Compensation:
• Starting Wage: $28.47 – $30.95 per hour based on qualifications
• Maximum Wage: $37.14 per hour
