Job Description:

This position provides skilled technical support to the Land & Water Conservation Department and professional assistance to property owners regarding soil and water conservation practices; responsible for planning, designing and supervising the installation of soil and water conservation practices in Juneau County.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Soil and Water Conservation, Soil Science or related field and three (3) years of land conservation related experience. Familiarity with the property of soils, soil maps, agronomy, topographical surveying and CAD. Must possess one of the following certifications based on job responsibilities: USDA-NRCS Certified Conservation Planner; USDA-NRCS Certified Comprehensive Nutrient Management Planner-Engineering/Agronomy; Wisconsin Soil Erosion Inspector Certification and Certified Crop Advisor.

SALARY: $29.78 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and matching contribution to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
