Computer Technician – ITS
Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Computer Technician position with the Information Technology Services Department.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: This position installs, configures, and maintains hardware and software for all PC computer equipment, performs Help Desk and Operator functions, maintains inventory and maintenance logs, provides documentation on installs and deliveries of computer equipment, and acts as software administrator for various office products and vendor supplied software.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individual must have a two-year Associates degree in computer technical support or related, and two years’ work experience in an office environment performing technical software, hardware and troubleshooting duties along with a valid WI driver’s license and reliable transportation. Microsoft MCP certification or equivalent is desirable.
WAGES AND BENEFITS: Starting 2025 hourly rate of $25.13 to $28.72 plus excellent benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement System benefits, affordable health, dental and vision insurance and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the occasional need to work nights and weekends as needed. Position allows occasional flexibility with hours at the discretion of the ITS Director.
