Cleaning Technician – Law Enforcement Center

Oneida County is accepting applications for a full-time Cleaning Technician in the Building & Grounds Department. This position primarily works at the Law Enforcement Center, however the position may be assigned to other County facilities as needed.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, windows, fixtures, furniture and other areas of County facilities. Restock supplies, monitor cleaning inventory, and report areas needing maintenance or additional cleaning. The position also assists with grounds work, including mowing and snow removal, and helps secure facilities for evening events as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, building and grounds maintenance is required. The employee must complete various trainings and certifications including Blood Borne Pathogen and PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) training certification.

Qualified candidates can follow written and oral instructions, communicate well with coworkers and the public, stand for extended periods, move throughout facilities, and lift up to 50 pounds.

WAGES AND BENEFITS: This full time position has a starting wage of $19.70 per hour and includes an excellent benefit package with Wisconsin Retirement System benefits, health, dental, and vision insurances, and Paid Time Off (PTO) with the ability to carryover unused PTO into future years.

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week on a flexible schedule. Overtime, weekend, and holiday hours may be occasionally required.
