Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Cleaning Technician position with the Buildings & Grounds Department.

JOB DUTIES: This position performs a variety of custodial and general maintenance tasks. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing within departments and common areas, maintaining floors, replenishing supplies, keeping logs for safety data and maintenance needs, securing the building after hours, maintaining and ordering inventory, and assisting with basic grounds keeping needs. This position will primarily work at the Courthouse location, with the possibility of being assigned to other facilities as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individuals must have a high school degree or equivalent, knowledge of cleaning methods and the ability to operator various maintenance equipment. Eligible applicants must have a valid WI Driver’s license, good driving record, and have the ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail oriented and be comfortable working independently. Excellent training provided.

WAGES AND BENEFITS: Position starts at $19.19 to $20.83 per hour plus generous benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement benefits, affordable health insurance and a Paid Time Off package with the ability to carryover unused hours into future years.

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday starting late afternoons with some flexibility in establishing a work schedule.
