Child Support Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:
Full-time position available which will perform specialized case management and financial management tasks to ensure the establishment and enforcement of court-ordered child support obligations. Work involves evaluating referrals for qualifying services, determining parents’ ability to pay support, mediating placement and making recommendations to the courts. Work extends to drafting legal documents, monitoring ongoing cases for compliance, conducting research, interviews, and performing and explaining complex mathematical calculations and accounting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal secretarial science, criminal justice, or closely related legal field and one year’s related legal work experience; OR three years related work experience in the child support system or related legal field; OR equivalent combination of related legal education and experience. Work experience related to child support preferred.
COMPENSATION: $19.15/hr – $22.50/hr
