Child Protective Services Social Worker
Sawyer County Health and Human Services is accepting applications for a fulltime Child Protective Services (CPS) Worker. Under the direct supervision of the CPS Supervisor, the CPS worker will provide a variety of child protective services to clients, including Access, Initial Assessments, and Ongoing Services. Additionally, the CPS worker will provide on-call services on a rotating basis. The CPS worker is expected to integrate trauma informed care within daily practice.
Sawyer County (population 17,000) is situated within the pristine woods and waters of northwestern Wisconsin. Sawyer County Health and Human Services is located in the county seat of Hayward. Hayward is the home of world-class events such as the American Birkebeiner and the Lumberjack World Championships.
Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited social work program or related field, Wisconsin Social Work Certification, and possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License. Experience with computer applications, including databases and Microsoft Office Products is necessary.
