Chief Deputy

Performs complex advanced protective services work providing professional administrative oversight of all Divisions, supervising and interacting with command staff, coordinating and assisting with the implementation of departmental goals, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Sheriff. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business or public administration, business management, or related field and extensive experience in management and law enforcement, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standard Board Law Enforcement Officer Certification upon hire. Possession of First-Line Supervisor training upon hire. Obtain Command Level Supervisory training within 1 year of hire. Valid driver’s license in the State of Wisconsin.

WAGE: $40.05 per hour. A generous benefits package is provided.
