PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to perform billing and accounts receivable functions for the Department of Human Services. Duties may include collecting and entering staff billing data, submitting billing to fund sources, reconciling billing, and managing the accounts receivable. The work is performed under the supervision of the Fiscal Manager.
Vocational/technical training in accounting or bookkeeping, two years of experience in governmental accounts, billing or other related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Computer experience required including experience in spreadsheet application and word processing.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
The 2021 wage range for this full-time (80 hours bi-weekly), non-exempt position is $16.98 per hour to $23.16 per hour (step 20). The expected starting hourly wage is $16.98 per hour to $19.30 per hour (step 4) depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
