Waupaca County Department of Human Services is seeking a B-3 Early Intervention Speech Therapist to provide speech and language services to infants and young children and their families using the Primary Coach Approach to Teaming. This position works collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members to support child development within natural environments.
The Speech Therapist conducts screenings and evaluations, participates in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings, coaches families and team members on effective strategies, and coordinates services with community partners such as school districts, Head Start, and childcare providers. Responsibilities also include timely and accurate documentation for service delivery, billing, and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree required; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year will be considered
Knowledge of speech and language development and overall child development
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships with families, team members, and community partners
Proficiency with electronic documentation and data tracking systems
Commitment to family-centered, trauma-informed care principles
This position is supervised by the Early Intervention Manager and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting young children and their families.
