Assistant Veterans Service Officer

The Calumet County Veterans Service Office is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, assertive, and results-driven Assistant CVSO, to fit the culture of Calumet County. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task between a variety of challenges and responsibilities, working in a timely and effective manner, to assist veterans to obtain entitled benefits. Must be passionate about veterans needs and maintain quality active listening skills.

Under the general direction of the Veterans Service Officer (VSO), this position works to advise and assist Veterans, surviving spouses, and designated beneficiaries in the administration of benefits. Serves as an advocate in providing referral and follow-up services to clients to enhance their quality of life.
