Adult Protective Services Worker
Richland County Health and Human Services has full-time openings for Social Workers in our Behavioral Health Services and Child & Youth Services Units.
• Adult Protective Services Worker: This position will conduct Elder Abuse and Adult-at-Risk investigations and related reporting in order to maintain guardianship/protective placement programming. The APS Worker shall receive and respond to reports of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and financial exploitation.
• Child & Youth Services Case Manager: This position will provide child protection and/or youth justice supervision. Duties include conducting abuse and neglect investigations, family assessments, court services, permanency plans, and ongoing services.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required for all positions. State Social Work certification or eligibility is also required, as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Local availability for emergency on-call rotation may also be required. Includes health insurance, WRS retirement, and other fringe benefits. Offering flexible work schedule and ability to occasionally work remotely.
The wage range for a 40-hr/week certified Social Worker is $22.14-$23.14 per hour (wage range for a non-certified applicant is $20.33-$21.25 per hour).
