Human Services Manager – ADRC
Are you an experienced human services leader with a passion for supporting older adults and people with disabilities? Monroe County Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated professional to serve as Manager of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Monroe County.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Monroe County residents. The ADRC Manager provides overall administrative oversight, leadership, and management of the ADRC and Aging programs, ensuring county residents have access to unbiased information and resources to maintain their independence as they age or live with a disability.
About the ADRC
The ADRC of Monroe County connects residents with the right resources for their aging and disability needs. Programs and services include the Resource Center, Benefit Specialist Services, Family Caregiver Support Programs, Dementia Care Specialist Program, Community Health Worker services, the Nutrition Program (including six active meal sites and home delivery), and Transportation Services for elderly and disabled residents.
Position Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, oversight, and management of the ADRC and all assigned Aging programs
• Direct and supervise division staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal program requirements and regulations
• Develop and monitor the division budget; identify and pursue grant funding opportunities
• Negotiate and monitor contracts with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and service vendors
• Complete the Three-Year Aging Plan and all required Aging Plan Assessments
• Report administrative and program services to the HHS Board and other responsible bodies
• Provide direction in response to changing legislative, societal, and community needs
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, health, or a human services related field from an accredited university, with progressive administrative experience in human service-related programs
• Three (3) years of previous supervisory experience
• Must successfully pass caregiver and criminal background checks
Preferred Qualifications
• Credentialed as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in the State of Wisconsin or other human services-related professional credential
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting wage: $33.62 per hour (Pay Grade R, FLSA Exempt)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)
