POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a fill-in, part-time position for a Casual Nutrition Driver and/or Casual Nutrition Site Manager in WI Rapids and Marshfield. Applicants interested in either or both positions will be considered.

1) Casual Nutrition Driver from the Marshfield and WI Rapids ADRC-CW location. Will work varied hours, either 7:30a.m.-12:30 pm. OR 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Employee in this position assembles Meals on Wheels, transports bulk pans of food from caterer to dining sites, loads packaged meals & milk in catering vehicle, and delivers Meals on Wheels throughout the community & in rural areas of Wood and Marathon Counties;

and/or

2) Casual Nutrition Site Manager at Senior Dining locations (Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids). Will work varied hours, usually 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. OR 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Employee in this position serves meals at the dining site, and coordinates/assembles Meals on Wheels to be delivered to apartments within the building or throughout the community. Employee will work as needed to fill in for sick leave, vacation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or equivalent and prior some paid delivery experience preferred. Experience in route delivery or food service is desirable but not required. Serving Safe Food Training will be provided. Must have a driver’s license and a driving record that meets County standards.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Maintains daily operations, cleanliness, and standards for food safety for nutrition program services.
Assures bulk food and meal temperatures are maintained according to safe food handling standards.
Follows food safety and sanitation procedures including appropriate handwashing and calibrating thermometers. Maintains temperature logs for food and holding equipment. Coordinates temperature testing procedures to assure food safety.
Reads menus to determine appropriate serving sizes and appropriate foods for specialized diets; monitors quality and quantity of food.
Assists with volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling efforts for nutrition services.
Prepares participant service documents and other data as part of the reporting requirements of the nutrition program.
Works closely with the Nutrition Program Manager and other partners as appropriate to recommend new or improved models for service improvements.
Communicates with support services team regarding meal and supply orders, and provides backup as needed.
Alerts supervisor to changes in service, problems, unusual circumstances, and/or areas needing improvement. Formulates and makes recommendations to address issues/concerns. Refers specific concerns about consumers to supervisor or other ADRC-CW staff as needed.
Drives catering vehicle over designated routes throughout rural Wood & Marathon County within a fixed time schedule to transport meals.
Assists with meal packaging meals as needed; loads packaged meals into vehicle; delivers meals to homebound elderly.
Follows proper food safety and sanitation procedures; assures catering vehicle compartments are at appropriate temperatures and are clean and sanitized to maintain food safety.
Documents proper meal service records daily.
Records mileage and hours worked.
Performs limited daily vehicle maintenance such as checks of oil, tire pressure, transmission fluids; completes safety checklist. Washes and cleans catering vehicle. Alerts supervisor to mechanical problems with catering vehicle, and arranges vehicle maintenance & repair with local automotive shop.
Maintains regular communication with other appropriate nutrition and ADRC-CW staff regarding observable changes in health and safety status of Meals on Wheels participants, change in service, or other problems, unusual circumstances, and/or areas needing improvement.
Alerts supervisor to changes in service, problems, unusual circumstances, and/or areas needing improvement. Formulates and makes recommendations to address issues/concerns. Refers specific concerns about consumers to supervisor or other ADRC-CW staff as needed.
Occasionally delivers food and supplies between caterer, meal sites, and office.
Develops solutions to work issues that add value for our customers.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Works extra hours as required.

Compensation: $14.00/hour
