Do you have a strong attention to detail and enjoy working with the public? If so, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office might have the job for you. We are looking for a Part-time Administrative Assistant. Successful candidates will have one to two years office practice, legal secretary, or related technical school training beyond high school graduation. A minimum of two years related office experience is desired. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.

Our Administrative Assistant performs various clerical duties. This position is responsible for having comprehensive knowledge of department responsibilities and programs in order to answer internal and external customer questions; determines the appropriate contact within the department or county or refers to an outside source in an efficient and professional manner. This position also creates, maintains, and coordinates files consistent with standard law enforcement practices and procedures; as well as gathers, organizes, and fulfills requests for court procedures assisting internal and external requests including case files and discover requests.
