ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Starting Range: $19.52 – $20.67

The full-time Accounting Specialist will manage the Commission on Aging bookkeeping procedures, financial record keeping and reporting processes, manage and maintain agency budget for Nutrition Fund and Commission on Aging Fund, maintain agency revenues/budgets, examine accounts payable and receivable, prepare fiscal reports of federal and state grants, examine projected expenditures and revenues, reconcile nutrition site bank statements, maintain accounts receivables, maintain COA client files, prepare monthly/annual reports to Greater Wisconsin Area Agency on Aging, assist in preparing the budget for Older Americans’ Act Programs, act as backup secretary and other duties as requested by the Nutrition & Aging Director.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A preferred applicant will have two years of office experience with an accounting degree or any combination of education and work experience that provides equivalent, knowledge, skills and abilities to fulfill the position.
Must be able to treat all clients with respect and dignity and adhere to confidentiality standards. Individual should relate well with older people.
