If so, Monroe County’s Finance Department might have the job for you! We are hiring for a full-time Accounting Manager – Human Services. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or Business Administration with municipal accounting or finance experience. Three years’ previous supervisory experience is desired. Candidates with equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will be considered.

Our Accounting Manager assists with the fiscal planning and budgeting of the Human Services Department. This position monitors and manages the department’s revenues and expenditures including departmental operations and contracted services. The Accounting Manager assists in the development of grant application and purchasing bids, monitors federal and state grants for allowable expenses and spend down, and is responsible for control of deposits and agency funds in compliance with County policies. This position also directs the work of and manages six Finance Department staff.
