Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Accountant I position within the Sheriff’s Department. The job duties of the Accountant I – Sheriff include but are not limited to assist the fiscal functions within the Sheriff’s Office under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in accounting with five (5) years accounting related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and three (3) years recent experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and financial reporting. Starting Wage: $21.02 – $23.13 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $28.91 per hour.
