Account Technician – Accounts Payable Coordinator
Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy coordinating the accounts payable functions? If so, Monroe County’s Finance Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a full-time Account Technician – Human Services Accounts Payable Coordinator. Successful candidates will have a two year degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field. Experience with Microsoft Office products is required. Knowledge of accounting software is helpful. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.
Our Account Technician – Human Services Accounts Payable Coordinator manages the Human Services accounts payable functions using a computerized financial program while ensuring that only authorized bills are paid and authorizations are updated to reflect current expenses. This position records payments into the financial system and tracks payments by clients into the specialized funding sources available for reimbursement. This position is also responsible for producing different reports and reconciling the monthly credit card statements.
Starting salary for this position is $19.87 – $21.46 hourly depending on qualifications and experience. Monroe County offers an excellent benefit package to include health, dental, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
