Economic Support Specialist – Human Services

The job duties of the Economic Support Specialist position include but are not limited to: determining eligibility and providing ongoing case management for Chippewa County/Great Rivers Income Maintenance Consortium in a timely and accurate manner for the following public assistance programs: Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Food Share/SNAP, Caretaker Supplement (CTS), and Wisconsin Shares Child Care subsidies.
The position is remote and requires in-person meetings located at the Chippewa County Courthouse on occasion. Must reside in Wisconsin.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year or more experience as an Income Maintenance/Economic Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin required, -OR- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or financial related program required with one (1) year of recent human services or financial work experience preferred.
• Previous direct customer service work experience with benefit programs and determining benefit eligibility preferred.
• Must have knowledge of and experience with computers and strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Starting Wage: $25.55 – $27.77 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $33.32 per hour.
