2024 Seasonal Parks Maintenance Technician

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a 2024 Seasonal Parks Maintenance Technician position within the Facilities and Parks Division. The job duties of the Parks Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to performing maintenance and construction tasks with lead worker supervisory responsibilities under the supervision of the Parks Manager.

Primary duties include but are not limited to: dock instillation and removal, buoys placement and removal, chainsaw work (storm damage and firewood), small engine repair, and structural building repair, etc.

2024 Season begins: April 29th 2024 until late October 2024.

Seasonal employment that averages 40 hours per week. Position may require working on weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. An Associates degree in a Construction field, forestry, or small engine maintenance technology desired. Four (4) years construction, forestry, or small engine maintenance work required. A minimum of two (2) years equipment operation (skid steer, back hoe, dump truck, loader, etc.). Starting Wage: $24.29 per hour. *This is a non-benefited position.
