The Chippewa County Department of Land Conservation & Forest Management is seeking a student or recent graduate to work as a Land Resource Technician. Focus includes technical support for nonmetallic mine site reclamation and the stormwater management program.
This position is seasonal, non-recurring, and limited term and requires up to 40 hours per week during May – November 2023 for a commitment of 975 hours.

Minimum Qualifications: H.S. diploma/GED required. Must be currently enrolled at or recently graduated from an institution of higher education with major field of course work in one of the following: Soil Science, Conservation Science, Geology, Engineering, Reclamation Science, Agricultural or Plant Science, Water Resources, or Geography. Experience with ArcGIS or similar software, and GPS survey preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Wage: $16.46 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.
