Climbing to New Heights: County Programs Empower Children with Disabilities

The April 2025 issue of Wisconsin Counties features a look at two county programs that often serve as a lifeline for families with children with disabilities – the Children’s Long-Term Support program and Birth to 3. The articles discuss how the programs are administered, the impacts on families, and the ongoing funding challenges. 

In addition to highlights from the WCA Legislative Conference in February, the issue also features a new domestic abuse response program in Vernon County, Bayfield County’s UAV program, and St. Croix County’s work to address substance abuse.
