REGISTERED NURSE – PUBLIC HEALTH
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Registered Nurse (RN) – Public Health within the Public Health Department. Public health nursing combines clinical care with community partnership to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities through disease prevention, health promotion, and emergency response.
As a Public Health Nurse, you’ll provide services in homes, schools, clinics, and other community settings. You’ll assess needs, connect people with resources, respond to communicable diseases and other public health concerns, provide health education, and work alongside community partners to improve health outcomes across Chippewa County.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a Nursing Program accredited by the National Professional Nursing Accrediting Organization required. Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required. Two (2) years of full-time nursing experience -OR- the equivalent of four (4) years part-time nursing experience required. Wisconsin Registered Nurse License required. Knowledge of and experience applying community and public health principles. Recent work experience in environmental and/or public health nursing preferred. Valid Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. Starting Wage: $33.61 – $37.34 per hour depending on qualifications. Maximum Wage: $44.81 per hour.
