Planning & Zoning Summer 2026 Intern
Columbia County is seeking an intern (480 hours) for the summer of 2026 that will provide assistance in the areas of data collection and processing, research and analysis, and technical planning for a variety of general administrative or specialized technical projects in support of the general objectives of the department. This internship is designed to give a hands-on experience to college-level students who are interested in pursuing a future career in land use planning & zoning, while providing the department additional staff resources to accomplish necessary tasks. This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Planning & Zoning and performs semi-technical duties of moderate difficulty in the application of land use programs in Columbia County. The position will work daily under the guidance of Specialists and the Office Administrator. This position will work both independently and as a team member. Hire rate: $20.528 per hour.
