Program Assistant – Family & Children Services

As a Program Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a variety of support services to our staff and consumers. The support services include tasks like scheduling meetings, researching resources, processing referrals, direct consumer communication, obtaining background and medical information, setting up providers, explaining billing processes, and coordinating with staff.

**Anticipated starting pay range is between $22.42/hr and $23.67/hr.**
Primary Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Coordinates, assists with, and/or provides support services to assigned section consumers which may include parent/family training, supervised visitation, daily living skills training, monitoring compliance with agreements and court orders, scheduling meetings and staffing, researching resources, etc.
Coordinates with assigned programs in processing referrals and services, which may include preparation of related paperwork, monitoring assignments, conducting home visits, monitoring expenditures, and completing various case management reports, etc.
Assists in the recruitment, training, coordination and/or tracking compliance of volunteers, providers or others.
Researches prior DHS service files for cross reference, etc.
Maintains forms for staff, including creating additional forms, ordering State forms, copying forms, etc.
Coordinates and assists with transportation of consumers.
Maintains and complete and accurate files and performs general office work, as required.
Attends various staff training or other meetings, as required.
Performs other duties of a comparable level/type, as assigned.
