Parks Manager
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Parks Manager within the Facilities and Parks Division. The job duties of the Parks Manager include but are not limited to oversee and supervise the daily operations of the County park maintenance, operations and personnel; and to provide responsive courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public. This is a working Manager position. The primary work location is at the Chippewa County Parks. Must be available for emergency duty on a 24-hour basis.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Construction, Electrical/Mechanical or other closely related field required. Minimum of five (5) years recent related work experience required. Two (2) years supervisory/lead work experience preferred. Experience in customer service required. Experience operating heavy equipment and/or farm equipment required. Experience in welding, electrical and plumbing preferred. Experience in working with concrete, doing flat work, including forming and finishing preferred. A valid Class A CDL required within 60 days of hire. A cell phone is required. Must be available for emergency duty on a 24-hour basis. Starting Wage: $35.71 – $39.68 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $47.62 per hour.
