Deputy Medical Examiner

Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a part-time (on-call) Deputy Medical Examiner, able to work a minimum of two 24 hour shifts per week. Under the general supervision of the Waushara County Medical Examiner, this position investigates and reports on the cause and manner of deaths including the gathering of physical evidence, interviewing, assisting in post-mortem examinations; determines if a case falls under the jurisdiction of the Medical Examiner Office; and performs related work as required. Requires an Associate degree in paramedic, nursing, biology, medicine, pre-med, forensic science or criminal justice or closely related field and minimum of two years of medical investigative experience. Competitive wage, may qualify for health insurance under federal requirements but is not eligible for other county benefits.
