Public Safety Systems Technician
Under direction of the Systems Administrator functions as the County’s Public Safety Systems Technician. Ensures public safety systems comprised of specialized computer equipment and software are available and in working order to answer 911 and administrative calls, dispatch police, fire and emergency medical services to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to supporting the dispatch center, the Public Safety Systems Technician is responsible for the support of all other public safety systems in the Sheriff’s Office as well as participates in an on-call rotation with the Network Technician and Desktop Support Specialist. When needed will also assist co-workers in the Information Technology department with various tasks.
