County Patrol Superintendent – Highway
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a County Patrol Superintendent position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the County Patrol Superintendent include but are not limited to plan, direct, and provide direct supervision of personnel performing maintenance and repair tasks for the Chippewa County Highway Department; to respond to the concerns of law enforcement, emergency government, and the staff of the Highway Department; and to provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Business Management, Public Administration or closely related field with one (1) year recent highway maintenance and construction experience required -OR- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with five (5) years recent highway maintenance and construction experience required. Vocational/technical diploma and supervisory experience preferred. Federal bridge inspection certification required within six (6) months from date of hire. MSHA training within two (2) months from date of hire. A Class A CDL without restrictions E and L required. N-Tanker Endorsement required within 6 months of hire. A cell phone is required. Starting Wage: $30.67 – $33.34 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $40.01 per hour.
