Animal Control / Humane Officer

Jackson County is seeking applications for an Animal Control/Humane Officer role. This position is responsible for providing animal control and care services associated with the shelter. This position is also responsible for carrying out euthanasia and humane officer responsibilities.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years’ experience related to the care or treatment of animals. Must obtain certification as Humane Officer, rabies observer and euthanasia technician within one year of hire. Starting wage: $22.59 per hour. This position is non-benefited and averages 30 hours per week or less.
