The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Juneau County Office is looking for a motivated, compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Benefit Specialist. The Disability Benefit Specialist plays a vital role in the Aging and Disability Resource Center providing benefit counseling and advocacy to individuals between the ages of 18 and 59 years who have a physical disability, developmental disability and/or mental illness. The Disability Benefit Specialist works to assure that people in these target groups receive information about, and assistance in, accessing the public and private benefits for which they qualify.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health or human services related field, and at least one year of experience working with individuals in one or more of the target populations. Knowledge and experience in areas such as public benefits, entitlements, insurance, consumer issues, long-term care service system, and legal system would also be helpful. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and have access to a vehicle. Must attend and successfully complete initial and ongoing training required by the state Department of Health and Family Services. Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment.

STARTING WAGE: $ 21.45 per hour. Juneau County offers a generous benefits package.
