Deputy Sheriff

Dunn County Sheriff’s Office is looking for dedicated and professional individuals to serve and protect residents as a Deputy Sheriff. Under the guidance of the Patrol Sergeant, the Deputy Sheriff is responsible for protecting the life and safety of citizens; protecting citizen property; enforcing laws, rules, ordinances and regulations; investigating crimes and violations; and providing assistance and response to emergency situations, as required. Dunn County Sheriff’s Office seeks to establish an eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies for Deputy Sheriff.

Appointment to the Deputy Sheriff position from the Eligibility List requires the successful completion of the 720 hour law enforcement academy. Current students in the law enforcement academy are encouraged to apply for potential appointment after completion.

Lateral transfer consideration for experienced officers in regards to pay and vacation accrual.
