Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Participate as a member of the infrastructure support team. As a member of that team the individual in this position will have the responsibility of installing and supporting systems and applications in our environment.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Servers: Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, server hardware, storage area networks, virtual server software
Network Equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, WIFI controllers and access points
Security: Firewalls, Active Directory, Public and Staff wireless
Voice Over IP: hardware and software
Digital Video: hardware and software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field
Three to five years of progressively responsible network analyst experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver’s license is desirable

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

Installs, maintains, and administers MS Server Operating Systems including Active Directory, File/Print and Exchange.
Installs, maintains, and administers VMware virtualization software, management tools and interfaces.
Installs, maintains, and administers Cisco VOIP hardware, software, management tools and interfaces to the public switched telephone network.
Installs, maintains, and administers digital video systems including system management tools and applications.
Installs, maintains, and administers network systems. These systems include LAN, WAN and wireless, switches, routers, controllers and other dedicated appliances.
Work with computer operations staff to ensure proper backup of all system data.
Using industry standard project management practices to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and in scope.
Coordinate vendor and manufacturer support when necessary.
Participate in second level on-call schedule for service outages.
Maintain inventory records.
Keep skills updated regarding new technologies, product offerings, and industry best practices.
Analyzes and documents customer requirements and cost/benefits to recommend appropriate system hardware and software.
Maintains equipment and operating software documentation.
Creates and maintains equipment and operating procedures meant to be used by IT staff.
Performs duties in a manner that is consistent with the CCITC Mission, Vision and Core Values.

COMPENSATION:

This position is an exempt, salaried position. The salary range is $73,923 to $82,804.
