CCS Quality Assurance Worker

Job Summary
Under supervision of the Behavioral Health Supervisor (CCS Supervisor), performs professional level work by planning, facilitating, implementing, and sustaining a complete CCS quality management program; provides leadership and technical consultation to staff in support of quality improvement and assurance efforts. The Quality Assurance Specialist is expected to collaborate with internal and external providers on meeting or exceeding CCS Administrative Code and applicable Medicaid requirements, program standards, and audit expectations. Determines the degree to which individuals are receiving Person-Centered supports and services according to assessed needs and goals.

Essential Duties
Conducts detailed evaluation of internal and contract provider performance and compliance to CCS Administrative code using applicable tools and guidelines.

Reviews required documentation to evaluate supports and services; gathers pertinent information related to the quality of services delivered. Generates and communicates recommendations for quality improvement for internal staff and contract providers.

Inputs data into electronic forms, summarizes findings, generates findings for quality improvement and communicates via written reporting to the CCS Supervisor in accordance with pre-established time frames.

Reviews and monitors activities within identified intervals for effective improvements that have been adopted and implemented as strategies towards best practice standards.
Serves as an expert in identifying both problems and solutions to ensure quality assurance activities appropriately address CCS service needs and provision.

Effectively facilitates meetings with leadership, management, and staff on the analysis of performance including: identification of challenges, achievement, and compliance with established guidelines or standards. Develops improvement strategies and monitors results of implementation.

Participates actively and effectively in development activities such as conference calls, professional meetings to include CCS Statewide and Regional meetings, and annual training activities.

Completes and maintains necessary documentation and reports according to applicable requirements, codes and policies.

Performs related functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field

Two years’ experience in direct practice with individuals with a range of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

Experience in CCS service facilitation preferred; experience in Quality Assurance practice also preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
State Social Worker Certification and case management experience preferred.
