About Us

Sheri Krause serves as the managing editor, overseeing the Wisconsin Counties magazine and other publications for the association. Sheri joined the WCA staff in 2022, after working on behalf of Wisconsin public school boards for more than 20 years.

She has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Sheri and her husband enjoy kayaking, traveling (even more now that their three children are grown) and searching for quaint taverns. She pretends to enjoy fishing so she can get her husband to hike to an endless number of waterfalls with her.
