Payroll Specialist

Eau Claire County is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist. Under general supervision, the Payroll Specialist is the primary person responsible and accountable for the County payroll system, processes, and data integrity. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and timely processing and payment of payroll to all County employees, in accordance with County policies and procedures. The Payroll Specialist is also responsible for all required tax filings, assisting with report development and generation, and responding to payroll inquiries. This position performs complex and technical payroll and accounting work, using a computerized payroll system.
