Public Health Nurse (Part-Time .8 FTE)
This is a 0.8 FTE vacancy (30 hours per week). This position may have the opportunity to work up to full-time (normal full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week) on a temporary basis, depended on the workload of the Department.
Under general supervision of the Public Health Nursing Supervisor, provides nursing services which are general, comprehensive and ongoing, with the dominant responsibility to the population as a whole. Nursing services are directed to individuals, families or groups. Health promotion, health maintenance, health education, management, coordination, and continuity of care are utilized in a holistic approach. Public Health Nursing is a synthesis of nursing practice and Public Health science. Performs related duties as required.
