Job Description:

Jackson County is seeking a full-time Information Technology (IT) Technician. This position provides technical assistance to users of County computer systems. Responsible for assisting personnel in the training and operation of IT; Network computer systems; set up, configure and maintenance of basic network operations; installs, upgrades directory structures, security, software and files services; operates console and peripherals. This position will also be responsible for the set up and troubleshooting of audio and video in the courtrooms and throughout the County as needed.

Requirements: Associate’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related background required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus two (2) years’ experience. Must have practical application technology, or computer technical assistance and knowledge of Microsoft, AS400, VOIP and SQL systems required. An equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered. 2021 Starting Wage: $20.47 – $25.58 per hour plus excellent County benefits package and State retirement plan.
