Zoning/Uniform Dwelling Code Building Inspector
Trempealeau County is recruiting for a full-time Zoning Uniform Dwelling Code Building Inspector in the Department of Land Management.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to administer, implement and enforce Uniform Dwelling Code Ordinance as well as to assist in administering and enforcing the County Ordinances for Trempealeau County.
Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) Construction certification required upon hire. Wisconsin certifications: UDC Electrical, UDC Plumbing and UDC Heating Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) must be obtained within six months of hire. Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Land Management or related field; one year zoning/land management experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:
The 2021 starting hourly wage for this non-exempt position is $22.71 to $30.95 (step 20, 80 hours bi-weekly), depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
