Zoning Techncian
Chippewa County is accepting applications for two (2) Zoning Technician positions within the Department of Planning & Zoning. The job duties of the Zoning Technician include, but are not limited to: performing responsible inspection work to assist in the uniform enforcement of land use and zoning ordinances in Chippewa County, including the issuance and inspection of zoning and erosion control building permits, monitoring compliance and investigating alleged violations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Resource Management, Natural Resources, Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences or a related field required. Minimum of one (1) year work or field experience in Land Use, Zoning, Land conservation, or a closely related area is preferred. Several job specific licensures are required within 6-18 months of hire. A cell phone and valid driver’s license are required. Wage: $20.03 – $22.04 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $27.55 per hour.
