WIC & Nutritionist Manager

Are you a Registered Dietitian who enjoys helping others? If so, Monroe County’s Health Department might have the job for you! We are hiring for a full-time WIC & Nutritionist Manager. Successful candidates will be a Registered Dietitian or registration eligible upon hiring and pass the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Registration examination within six months. Must have driver’s license, liability insurance and available transportation. Minimum of one year experience in Community and/or Public Health nutrition programs with some supervisory and fiscal management experience preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.
The WIC & Nutritionist Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the WIC project while providing nutrition education to WIC participants in an effort to improve the health and nutritional status of participants through preventive health measures. The WIC & Nutritionist Manager ensures compliance with nutrition related requirements in the WIC Operations manual. This position also prepares and monitors expenditures of the annual budget and supervises two WIC staff.
Starting salary for this position is $29.88/hr. Monroe County offers an excellent benefit package to include health, dental, term life, WRS, and more.
