Technician – BG

Looking for a meaningful career opportunity? Waushara County is currently accepting applications for a Buildings and Grounds Technician. This position performs routine, preventive, and unplanned electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other maintenance duties necessary to keep County buildings, grounds, facilities, and all equipment functional, operating safely and in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and established maintenance standards. This position collaborates with the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent for daily workflow and provides decision making authority for time-sensitive, urgent needs in the absence of the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent. Wage is $23.62-$25.05/hr. (starting wage based on relevant experience) with benefits. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, along with Vocational/Technical training with emphasis on facilities maintenance; including boiler operations, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and electrical courses. Requires current valid Wisconsin driver license with acceptable driving record. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and ability to apply safety practices. Four years of building maintenance, skilled trades, or construction experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
