Job Description:

The purpose of this classification is to provide professional level duties and manage social services to children and families, child protection investigation, alternate care for children; and ongoing services to families according to applicable policies, regulations and statutes. The work is performed in accordance with applicable rules, regulations and laws under the supervision of the Family and Children’s Services Supervisor.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Wisconsin Social Work Certification within 2 years of hire or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service related field with current Wisconsin Social Worker certification required. Experience in providing services to children and families in a public agency setting and knowledge of child protective services, eWisacwis and juvenile court regulations and laws preferred. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and/or available means of transportation required.
The 2021 annual salary for this full-time, exempt position is $47,236 to $64,376 (step 20). The expected starting annual salary is $47,236 to $53,664 (step 4), depending upon qualifications. Trempealeau County’s compensation plan considers annual wage step increases.
