Do you have a passion for helping others? If so, the Monroe County Dept. of Human Services Behavioral Health Unit might have the job for you. We are looking for a full-time Crisis Services Social Worker. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or guidance and counseling; or general college degree with two years professional experience in a human services agency. Must be credentialed by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a Certified Social Worker or other advanced credential such as Advance Practice Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, and License Marriage and Family Therapist (individuals who can identify a path to licensure may be considered). A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is required.

Our Crisis Services Social Worker provides initial and ongoing risk assessments and serves as a resource person to at-risk children and adults, individuals with mental health or substances abuse related issues. This position conducts follow-up and linkage services to individuals following a crisis, provides short-term case management, conducts hospital discharge planning, and develops crisis plans. This position also conducts court work and monitoring related emergency detentions and civil commitments as well as completes all required documentation related to job functions within the established timelines.

Starting salary for this position is $43,680 – $45,760, with an approved increase to $49,233 – $52,187 effective 06/26/2022. Monroe County offers an exceptional benefit package to include health with vision, dental, term life, Wisconsin Retirement System, and more.
