Social Worker/Caseworker Youth Justice
Sawyer County Health and Human Services is accepting applications for a fulltime Social Worker/Caseworker Youth Justice (YJ). Under the direct supervision of the Child Welfare Unit Supervisor, the YJ worker will provide intake and dispositional services to the court and the agency with a target group of youth 10-17 years of age. Additionally, the YJ worker will provide on-call services on a rotating basis. The YJ worker is expected to integrate trauma informed care within daily practice.
Sawyer County (population 17,000) is situated within the pristine woods and waters of northwestern Wisconsin. Sawyer County Health and Human Services is located in the county seat of Hayward. Hayward is the home of world-class events such as the American Birkebeiner and the Lumberjack World Championships.
Qualifications for this position:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field. Valid driver’s license and carry proof of insurance.
Desired Qualifications: Wisconsin Social Work Certification.
